DTF printing guide
DTF Artwork Requirements
Prepare your artwork this way and your transfers print sharp, with clean edges and accurate colour. Checking takes about five minutes.
The five settings that matter
Standard artwork sizes
Set your canvas to one of these sizes. Pixel sizes are at 300 DPI.
File formats we accept
A pixel-perfect PNG with the background removed, so no white block prints around your image.
A background-removed PNG exported to PDF, for clean scaling and colour accuracy.
Best PNG export settings
| Type | PNG |
|---|---|
| Canvas | Transparent |
| Compression | Maximum quality |
| Density | 300 DPI |
Avoid these print problems
Every design must have a cleanly transparent background — no background colour.
Outline or rasterise text layers before saving so fonts can’t go missing.
Low-quality sources print with jagged edges and blurry, pixelated detail.
Leave a safe margin of at least 0.25″ around the edge of the layout.
RGB colours shift when converted for print. Check your CMYK values first.
Send designs facing forward — we handle the mirroring for transfer.
Pre-flight checklist

Once printing starts, changes can't be made
Please double-check spelling, size, colour profile and placement before you send. Orders are printed from the file you submit, and all sales are final based on its quality.
